A Hybrid Academic Model

A Hybrid Academic Model

The intent of the school is to use computers and associated technology as instructional tools, allowing students to complete their online coursework from anywhere they can access the Internet. Additionally, a more traditional approach to instruction takes place at the Red Bluff location, including language arts, math, science, personalized tutoring, and electives. This hybrid academic model, which includes both online and onsite learning, allows each student to achieve a more complete education through a custom-designed model of instruction based on their individual needs. We offer a full range of online academic courses, for students enrolled in grades seven through adult. Students who live in Tehama, Shasta, Butte, Mendocino, Trinity, Plumas, and Glenn counties are eligible to enroll.

We specialize in meeting the needs of students who benefit most from self-paced, personalized instruction delivered on-site or at home through the use of technology. We believe that when students are provided with a comprehensive and mastery based curriculum, clear academic expectations, consistent access to technology including a computer and internet, strong instructional support, and a committed parent or caring adult, a well-designed virtual education program can improve student achievement, support the individual needs of students and families, and present an effective, modern approach to public education in the 21st century.
